About Us

Dr. Josephine Wapakabulo is an accomplished CEO and award-winning innovator, bringing over 20 years of corporate, entrepreneurial, and board experience to Downforce Technologies.

Before joining Downforce Technologies, she served as the first CEO of Uganda's National Oil Company, spearheading the organisation’s growth to a 90-person team. Her experience also includes founding TIG Africa, a consultancy firm designed to help investors and entrepreneurs launch and build companies that foster sustainable development across Africa, and serving as Quality Executive and Chief of Quality and Continuous Improvement for Rolls-Royce.

Josephine is an electrical engineer with a PhD in data standards and an executive MBA from INSEAD. She is currently an Advisory Board Member of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum and was previously a Teaching Fellow at the University of Western Australia.
